Whilst training to run the London Marathon 2026, I acquired a nasty respiratory infection, which lingered. When I picked up my training again after six weeks I had some catching up to do and that’s when I ran the Bath Half marathon and damaged my left knee, causing me to pull out of the London event.
Six weeks of resting my knee, I then met Paul at Chanctonbury Leisure. He designed me a program to build back my strength and to support me through my recovery. I was frank with him and he was equally honest about what was needed.
Almost 6 months later, I have managed to strengthen enough to complete another, much hillier, half marathon in a better time and I’m well prepared for my deferred London Marathon next April!
