I had done all I could with the physio exercises and I was recommended the gym and to go to Chanctonbury Leisure Centre.
Vicky became my trainer and inspiration. The goal was to get fit in 4 and a half months, so that I could climb ‘Catbells’ in the Lake District , a holiday that I had postponed for the replacement operation.

Well I did it! I’m not saying it was easy, especially not the coming down from the top, but I then went on to walk 18 miles in the next 4 days, and those walks weren’t flat either….

I am enormously grateful to Vicky for the guidance and support in that time, we are now focused on another walking holiday in the lakes later in the year, by which time I’m hoping I will have increased my pace!

My fellow walkers had found me a bit slow this time (although they were tremendously patient), I can’t recommend Chanctonbury and Vicky enough for being there for me… I am now signed up to make it a permanent feature of my life going forward.
