Morris Dancing with Broadwood Morris

As part of the Winter Warm Up, The Broadwood Men will demonstrate some traditional morris dances, showcasing the lively music, intricate footwork, and rich heritage of this iconic English folk dance.
Following the demonstration, attendees are invited to join The Broadwood Men for a beginner-friendly introductory workshop. The session offers a supportive, fun environment where participants can learn the basic steps and try their hand at morris dancing first-hand. Absolutely no prior dancing experience is required, making it an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to try something new while getting active.

Broadwood always welcome new dancers, our practice season is under way and if you enjoy our performance or the workshop why not join us at one of our open practices on Thursday evenings in October, see our Facebook page for details

Our project is about supporting people to get outdoors, try something new, work on their physical and mental well being, and connect with a supportive community. We’re especially well placed and accustomed to working with older folk, and to encouraging people outside during the colder, darker months. We’d love the chance to reach more people who would benefit from our work – and locals especially!

Rock Farm

Theraputic, Growing, Sustainable Community Produce

Rock Farm is a therapeutic market garden, growing fruit and veg for local markets and providing accessible community support for people who need it. We serve the communities of Worthing, Horsham, Brighton and surrounding villages. Our open volunteer days for individuals are Weds – Fri from 10am-3pm, and we also have capacity to run group visits (tailored towards nature connection, education, climate activism, etc), farm taster days and away days.

Our supported volunteers tend to be adults with special educational needs, disabilities, neurodivergence, mental health struggles and/or experiences of social marginalisation (including elderly folk, migrants, refugees and asylum seekers). Many of our participants benefit from a gently structured routine, adaptable tasks and low-pressure social environments. We work alongside support workers where needed and are happy to discuss individual needs and adjustments to make it the right fit for each person.

Splat & Chat

Splat & Chat painting events are a fantastic way of meeting new people, trying something a bit different and finding your creative side.

You will be talked through a beautiful painting step-by-step, and by the end of our 2 hours together, you shall have a fabulous canvas which is yours to keep and take home.

Do I have to be good at Art/Drawing/ Painting?

We often hear the same thing: ‘But I can’t draw/paint…’ or ‘I haven’t painted since school…’

DON’T WORRY!

For Splat & Chat paint events you DON’T need any previous art experience at all. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or you haven’t picked up a paint brush…ever! Splat & Chat paint events are a bit of light hearted fun. There is zero judgement and no one is taking themselves too seriously. The idea of the events is to just give it a go and have a giggle.

We look forward to welcoming you on an event soon.

Sounds great! How do I book?
