I have lived in Storrington since 2002, and was aware of this centre but started to use its facilities in 2016 when I retired from my work at Queen Marys Hospital in Roehampton, unfortunately the centre was closed at the time of the Covid outbreak and the doors were shut.
Then after Covid you and others had the foresight of trying to bring it back to life, this you managed, with I assume great difficulty, both financially and mentally at a time when we were still recovering from things like lock down.
The doors opened again and I was one of the first old members to re establish my membership and started enjoying the facilities again, from memory about 2021, you managed to keep the old equipment and spruced up the building which had fallen into disrepair and what a great job you all did.
Like me many other residents in and around our wonderful village started to use your facilities and all were i am sure delighted to see it open again.
You and your team have taken the centre from strength to strength, you have been able to install new equipment, replace the original equipment and equip the centre with new additional kit, making it available for more diverse training and keep fit fanatics like myself.
We are so lucky to have the facilities you provide, it is absolutely vital that it continues to strive to provide a very necessary community service, in the pursuit of promoting fitness and well being for all, you have worked tirelessly to promote the facilities and to diversify to provide such a wide choice of leisure facilities,
it is no longer just a gym it is far more than this, you should continue to grow and further make this a centre of excellence for all those that would like to attend a local facility that promotes and encourages all ages to live a healthier and longer life.
Keep up the good work and I am sure the proposed extension to the centre will be a great asset and will enable you to expand further.
