I met many of the girls that are still good friends, as we came to Step & Zumba and enjoyed a coffee and chat afterwards.
COVID came and with it the worry the centre would close permanently as Impulse went out of business. Like a phoenix from the ashes the new CLC did emerge, with a charity status & the backing & support of the Parish council. Five years on we have a vibrant and well run centre with a wonderful choice of classes to suit all: a gym that has been refitted, a pleasant cafe with an outside decked area for the warmer days. The centre has become a local community hub for so many things. Andi is back as manager with the greatest support from all the team who are friendly and helpful. Most of us rejoined CLC and the membership has grown to a figure around 1800 this year. The instructors are great and the introduction of yoga and Pilates classes and pickleball has proved popular. We are lucky to have this facility locally and at prices for membership that are not excessive , particularly in these difficult times.
I look forward to going to CLC every week and have enjoyed the benefit of keeping fit and healthy here. Long may it continue and prosper.
