1980's

The original building that housed the Chanctonbury leisure entre was constructed in the late 1980’s and was largely down to a huge amount of local fundraising and support from the local Parish Council and Horsham Distrcit Council. The Centre was managed by the West Chanctonbury Recreation Association (WCRA). The Centre comprised a 4 badminton court sports hall and a bar upstairs – and that was it !

In the last 5 years the Centre has seen a further £500k of investment including a refurbished gym and reception and hosts a multitude of opportunities for the whole community.
